How can I stop someone who is (potentially) shill bidding without Ebay cancelling the listing (Im a buyer)

Ive reported it, Ebay says I wont find out what happens but I suppose if the item in question is removed then it can be assumed shill bidding was taking place

Bid in the last 5 seconds, never any other time. Sadly its the only way.
