Oil clean at the bottom, still on same mark where it was filled to and no signs of oil in coolant. Wiped residue away - will see what happens I guess.

Yeah, run it long enough to get the engine to temperature and keep it there for abotu 30 minutes, if the sludge is still there you've got a problem.
