So the saxo is coming up for its MOT, i bought the car 12 months ago for £300, should i really spend £300 again on parts to get it threw this years, 104,000 and it hasnt been looked after in it life, do i have a duty to spoil it before it dies?

I do a 70 mile round trip in it everyday for work, and its not the most economical thing anymore, and not too pleasant at motorway speeds, but i can live with it if it means saving money

I love cheap motoring. My £900 Corsa has lated for 3 years with minimum expenditure, oil changes and a water pump for £20. If £300 keeps you going for another year I say do it.

Scrap it and put the money + 300 you would spend on it to another cheap car with a recent full mot. Gives you 450 to play with and the fun of looking.
