Quick question, I'm getting my 1st vx soon and have heard a few story's about sills cracking when people get out of the car, I no you can't put weight on the sills that sit directly under the doors, but can you put weight on the black sills that sit inside the door ?

It is a bit of an art getting in and out, everyone does it slightly different.
I rest my bum on the black sill when I get out and dont seem to have a problem, but im very careful.

Yeh i adopt the same method as Xiodene, but be careful as you will find that the rear part of the black sill can be quite fragile as there is no under support. Aslong as you are aware of that, you will have no problem.

Reinforce inner sills with glassfibre (underneath). Cover outer sills (under doors) with John Betts metal sill cover. Safe as houses.
