Hey, I am not normally one for 'modding', but have noticed that the light switches are starting to become a little sticky (all of them of course  . So I have wondered whether it would be possible to fit the light switches panel and switches from the Elise- probably would mean a whole load of hassle - but if I am going to go through the hassle of replacing them I thought I might go this way, aesthetically the Elise switches are just so lovely and more readily available. I have done a google and forum search and found nothing... But can't for the life of me think this topic hasn't been covered before. Though I would have expected people to have done it if it was at all possible.

I've looked at these as well, they do look nicer than the Vaux ones. I'll ask MrSimba if can look at his next weekend at the peak district run, see if they are the same.

Are you on about the switches from the S1? Can't see you being able to do anything with the S2 switches. Remember, no front fog lights on an Elise so you'd need to get around that as well.

Dunno about the elise, but the exige has front driving lamps.

I was going to post saying it is a huge job swapping the panel, as that would also mean swapping the sill, dash, heater control all the metal sections behind.

I suppose if you just wanted the switched and you are okay with fibreglass, it wouldn't take much to fill the driver side dash panel and fit either the s1 or s2 elise/exige switchs in that.

But they're not separately switchable are they? Thought they were just wired into the high beams?

I would of thought they are a simple swap looking at the pictures, pull out the original and push in the Elise ones.

I didn't realise they are £22.95+vat for EACH button

You can get some like that from Maplin for peanuts. I think I would rather sabotage the exisiting switches and wire them in from there rather than cut the plugs off the loom. *Plans weekend project* Will post pics and guide when done :D

Those Edel switches look so many degrees of sh!t, it's unbelievable. Leave toggle switches where they belong in ye olde classic cars or old prop driven fighter planes. thumbsdown

I think that's safe to say. thumbsup The push button switches VXed linked to are passable as at least they would potentially tie in to the starter switch style. Personally, I look at the switches twice each journey, once to turn the headlights on and once to turn them off when the car gets parked up. Apart from when I've been at the MOT, I've never even touched the rest of them.
