Let me know if you want a big power ZLEx engine, am keen to start another project... If you are putting fat wheels on you might be able to plant 500 ft/lb down on the tarmac. It would be fun to get 500 ft/lb out of 2 Litres at 8500 revs.... works out at approx 760 BHP.... EPIC ! BTW, where abouts in the country are you based please ? EDIT: Oh crap, just looked at the pics again and can see an NA exhaust pipe - please dont tell me its an NA ?!

I've got a feeling the proposed engine in this will be more than sufficient Neville my man..... Not a smelly turbo in sight either.

stroke is 78mm mean piston speed will not exceed 25m/s work it out slindy

If the yank calculators are anything to go by thats just shy of 10Krpm depending on piston weights

did you do that in your head?

I might go to 26.3m/s

this is a 30sec mental test for nerds

Am looking forward to seeing what power and torque this little rev monster can make without a turbo. Are you keeeping the B207 con rods presumably? Will you raise the SCR with a thinner HG ?

there is an alternative way to make more bangs per minute , and have a silly short 74.8mm stroke, 89mm bore and a much better noise Z2?NET

Changing the stroke entailed offset grinding the crank journals
altering Deck height too establish CR
Therefore I have had bespoke conrods made!

well 9615 rpm = 19230 bangs per minute in a 4 cylinder , whereas at 8000, with a i6 or v6 you've got 24000bpm and much less stress on everything

you either make bigger bangs or more of them

As I'm sure you know, it's always risky/scarey doing all your own proto-typing. I hope it all works out. What sort of power are you expecting? What ECU? If you've offset ground the crank rod journals doesn't that make your bigs ends rather weak due to the reduction of material?

Ecu is a dta s60

its only N/A so the big ends should be fine

the engine used by 888 for BTCC had reduced bigend journals (retained standard stroke) to reduce friction!
Good for 300bhp 200ft/lbs
