Also could it be scrivetted like the standard turbo splitters? don't want it fouling with a speed bump and the clam getting damaged...

It looks great, but from the pictures it looks "hollow" rather than closed on the underside.

From a functional point of view, shouldn't it create a flat surface protruding forwads underneath the car?

While it is not a fully functioning splitter with a flat plane extending to the floor, it will still give a big improvement. I have an Astra G rubber splitter on mine with a slightly smaller profile than Robin's and the effect on front downforce is very noticeable. To the extent that adding some downforce to the rear is worth thinking about to re-adjust the balance at speed.

Yes is hollow under side makes fitting easier and saves weight, also the elise /exige ones are made on same way. Fitting i decided to leave up to purchasers as everyone has there prefered meathod of how secure they want it and if using plastic bolts or metal is the way to go. Im fitting mine with metal bolts with washers either side if it helps

Don't suppose anyone knows what Halfords call the "scrivets" or anyone with a picutre or description. Paul

Consider it as an airdam rather than a splitter.

mine is a full size reg plate and seems to sit at same height as before so dont see any problems with it.
the pictures are of it dry fitted as just not had time to fix in place propely yet.

first two people have had there splitters with following feedback just to give people a idear on product quality fiveoclock put My splitter arrived from Robin this morning and I thought if the splitter is as good as the packaging then its going to be excellent. It is. Its very light and very well made, I've only offered it up to the clam but the fit seems perfect. The finish (white) is so good that I am just going to shine it up with some compound and armourfend over it as my car will be white and red from the weekend techiboy pm'd me Just unwrapped them and they look absolutely perfect. I'm actually bowled over by the quality of the finish and it looks/feels better than anything I've bought from "real" bodykit suppliers in the past thanks for comments
