Looks like your CV heat sheild is missing. This protects the mount from the Exhaust.

I fitted a new set of side mounts when I bought the car. 5 years, 25 track days and 40K miles later they are still fine. I do not have the uprated front & rear mounts.

If you can melt a poly insert it stands to reason that the rubber mount might also be melted and deformed hence the poor review of the fitting as opposed to the fitter.
