Such great photos! ...Now I'm wondering where THEY got them from? And when exactly they would have been taken?

Some of the pictures have the writing "open day" in them, and only show NA's; so asuming 2000/2003.
The first one with the lesser quality, is the only tubby, and i think is from a different visit.

Obviously there are no number plates on any of those cars at that stage, but still I wonder - who's VX's are we looking at in those pics?

What Lotus is that front car on the last pic?
Engine looks live a V'er and the chassis looks none Velise.
EDIT: Last pic of the first bunch posted... Not the dodgy yellow canary with the little shits sat in the boot.

Great pictures smiley.
I've been round the Hethel factory but only after they'd finished assembling VX'es. I was showing a semi-interest in an Exige Cup 240 back in 2006 and the dealer got me up to the factory for a tour (strictly no photos allowed) and then a few laps in the 240 cup. Didn't buy one though which pissed the dealer off a bit.

Got a trip round the production line and some track laps in an elise for my 21st, 4 years ago so a bit late for VX's.
Lovely pics though mate.

The first picture is my car ! It was taken for me by someone at Lotus in case I never got there before it was finished. I did get there before it was finished and had a great day at the factory.

If you look at the first picture again and see the guy standing 2nd from the left it looks uncannily like Ricky Tomlinson out of the Royle Family!!!
