Stick with the OEM Bilsteins if you want the best on-road manners. If there's one thing Lotus do properly, it's ride/handling development.

Just an idea but would i be better with just some lowering springs??Does it really make much difference changing the suspention to gaz`s/nitrons etc for fast road use eg will i notice the difference on the road?

Exige bilsteins are much less crashy on the road with less dive and squat. But if you want the slammed look they arent for you.

Ive noticed people tend to fit gaz golds or nitrons
Has any 1 fitted ohlins or KW coilovers? any thoughts?
thanks

Aimy, I have 2 way ohlins on mine, i was lucky enough to already have them on my car when i bought it. As already stated they are not cheap but are one of if not the best suspension avaliable, and i run my VX everyday with these on. :)

Exige billies are worth a look too - £70 a corner

This. Cheap, effective and had more time and effort spent developing it that Nitron/Gaz/Whoever have spent on all their products, ever.

Another option for the VX that has only recently become available recently is Intrax suspension, I am a retailer for them in the UK and have them on my car. They are an Ohlin equivalent (with the owner of Intrax being the ex owner of Ohlin) and slightly more affordable than the Ohlins. The Intrax have a very wide range of adjustments so with the damping set to soft road manners are very good, while still maintaining good control of the cars damping thumbsup

If you are interested have a look at the link in my sig www.intraxracingUK.com There is obviously a special discount for .org members :)
