On that bridge2gantry site it is mentioned that maintenance was displayed on the entry board at the ring.

Both speedsters are from the German board. The orange speedster guy escaped with just a splitting headache.

Is the yellow and red one undamaged? The other one I guess is written off but repairable?

I'm guessing the person who owns the Orange one will be on here soon asking of anyone has a spare pair of rear lights. Possibly some filler, too. A job for Imran?

I always did... And even booked to do it two years ago as part of a tour round europe, but bottled it and went on a package holiday instead.

Has put the dampeners on it for me... But would still love to do it - just don't thing my current car is fit for purpose. :(

simple fact is, on the n'ring german traffic law is effective. and the law says you may only drive as fast as you are able to get your car to standstill if you encounter an obstacle in your way. this means you may never drive into blind corners with a high speed. it simply is no race, there are no marshalls you can rely on, it is called "tourist drive" because it is a road open to public, not an official race event. there also could have been an accident behind the bend or a bus full of tourists. usually nothing happens if you race there. but once in a while it does. knowing how most of the drivers drive there the building firm could have been acting much smarter, slowing traffic down long way before, visible from a longer distance. though they did not, it was the failure of at least one of the drivers what happened there. strictly according the law this happened due to reckless driving. the ring taxi driver had to know what's going on in the first place. instead he did crash too. everyone going on the ring has to be aware of risking his car or/and health or even life. a hundred times nothing happens. but statistics are some kind of confident there. some time it will hit you somehow. you're an unlucky chap if it happens that this moment falls into your naturally lifetime. :glare:

I honestly dontb know why people bother going there anymore, with the amount of traffic, fines if you get it wrong and risk due to buses, slow people and now, workmen. I was lucky enough to do it a few times on bikes so have no interest in going there now. You wouldnt even consider a trackday run like that and yet people flock there and nearly always without any insurance as generally no one will touch you going there. Save your money and go to other tracks like Spa etc. Martin s

If he does ask, I have a rear clam in Mandarin that is in need of repair, but somewhat massively less damaged than this!

Gutted for all involved :(
