Even the plate nearly says shed thumbsup

I know they say that White is the new Black, but i ordered it in black and it arrived, well as you can see, not very black. I accepted it anyway because I was umming and aring at the time of the choice and i actually rather like the white. Also i couln;t be bothered to wait another 20 weeks for a black one.

Nice Dub - now go and give it the rat look :P

As cock ups go, that's quite a big one! What did the salesman say when you said "funny looking black" or "does if still have the protective delivery film on it?"

I hope you got some fantastic upgrade, service deal or cash back from them.

When my Mum ordered an MG ZS a good few years back, got a call the morning of the collection from the Dealer saying that the car was ready, but there was a small problem to discuss regarding the cars paperwork. So we turned up to collect it... Only to find that it was a saloon rather than a hatchback. First thing my Mum said was... Ah that's not what I ordered, but I think I prefer it. Went into the dealership and they immediately started grovelling. As she walked she said, "well how did you manage to mess that up then and what does this mean is going to happen now?" Long and short of it, we noegotiated a £2k reduction in purchase price (which the car had already been heavily discounted as it was ordered from them as the manager of the dealership was 'friendly with a colleague of my Mums'). In the end she paid £4.5k below book price, got three years free servicing and a free tank of petrol everytime the car visited the dealership (service, tyres, parts collection + when I went to look at a new ZR). Can't say I have ever seen post-purchase anything like it.

Technically not a shed  We call them 'sheds' but really they've gotta be under £500 to qualify, a brand new Golf GTD is hardly that!

IT IS NOT A SHED

If it's used for at least one of the following;

1 - commute to work
2 - driven in all weathers
3 - rarely gets washed
4 - hauling rubbish to the tip
5 - weekly shop
6 - collecting parts for your vx
7 - slower than your vx

Then it's a shed :P

My £22k volvo is used for all the above and is a shed :D

actually i'd suggest that NAs might like to give R32s a wide berth if they are into racing on the road. The R32 puts down its power so well and can be driven very fast very easily. Who really buys a vx to compare it to shopping trolleys? its all about something else isn't it? the joy of driving. In these fast(ish) hatches because the driving experience is a bit shit, they have to make other things interesting, like the lovely lovely interior of the Golf, or the near silent 100mph travel, or the shove in the back due to a slightly odd torque delivery. Maybe worst still, the GTD has a sound generator, to make it sound good (it doesn't). Thats why its a shed compared to the vx, it doesn't matter that its worth nearly three times more. That isn't to say i don't like it.

Had a golf GTI turbo and loved it thumbsup .
If you know what you are doing the hot hatches are easy in an NA.One of my mates has the civic type r and the other has a standard wrx and my car has the edge up to errrr well 70  .Mine has only got de cat and induction plus a piper so not much above standard, like most.
Silent at 100mph (Slap on wrist) Oh I remember that, and the air con,and heated seats, and so on.
Good car the Golf,I would have another thumbsup
