Im not sure if im doing this air con demist thing wrong or not but, had it on earlier to demist as it was about 3 degrees. Cleared the screen really quick but there was me getting chuffing cold. So put the heaters back on and it misted up again straight away so had to go back to aircon. Hard choice between being blind and warm or being able to see and cold!

You should be able to do both... Compressed (reduced moisture) from the air con unit, but blended with warm air from the heater matrix... But how the system will work on the Noble???

Worked perfectly fine on the MG, VW, Ford, Citroen and othe Vauxhalls I have had

Take the aircon pump from a Vecra/Signum/Astra with the Z22SE.
Get an aircon unit for the S2/Exige along with control.
Have pipework made up to suit (easy)

DONE.

You mean I could install everything without changing the position of the battery?

No idea, Dont know how big the S2/Exige HVAC unit is, I believe the battery is in the boot for the S2's but dont know how much space is used up front. Relocating the battery isnt a huge challenge in the grand scheme of what you are planning.

Some years ago now there was a "possibility" of new soft top cars being made illegal in Europe. This uncertainty lasted a few years. That is when the production of soft top cars fell dramatically. Of course this is no longer the case. Back in the early 1990's Ray Webb of the then RoverTec company, now V8 developments told me of a neat trick he used. It was the year that he won the Slick 50 championship. He was racing a Rover SD1 at the time. I was puzzled as to why he ran the air - con system. He was running it to super cool the fuel before it entered into the engine. I was racing an MG Montego Turbo. A very fast car indeed. We used the same trick for extra cooling of the inter cooler and the fuel line. The Montego would walk away from a Cosworth at full chat after that mod. Korkey.

You can try to install the Exige S1 system it's smaller than the S2 unit. With a vauxhall (opel) compressor

You can use a Crystaline film and a heater bypass valve in the boot to help abit.
