You guys aint trying hard enough!!! I get blisters on my the palm of my hands (around the thumb) if I don't wear gloves on a track day!! Plus if it does go wrong the gloves are flame proof. Also helps with grip imo but that is on a suede wheel, however I used gloves on my old leather wheel
I don't wear a race suit on track days though as I'd feel a twonk which is silly really. Dave you could do with some race boots though after seeing those clod hopper daps you tracked in at Brands
But you do have absoultley no mechanical sympanthy at all. It must be tough on the hands driving over all those kerbs!

why not wear ther suit if you have it anyway?
i always wear mine, safety first!! besides in winter = nice and warm
