Hey all, Just about to book onto Silverstone on March 26th. juts wondering if there are going to be any Vxs there too? Its with MGoT, so a sessioned day with 1x20min per hour. I will be coming from Newbury way, A34 & M40 if anyone else from this direction comes perhaps we could head up together?

I did a sessioned trackday with LoT at Silverstone on the new GP configuration last year and hated it. This was 3 x 20mins per hour - two Lotus and one MG. Loads of queues in the pitlane and it felt like 4 laps and then you're called back in again! One red flag and your session is over. I vowed never to do a sessioned event again.

I have done a few and have to admit that OPL days are by far the best days. However sessioned is better than SemiOPL where you spend all day in a queue to get on track in the next session... My dad has an MG and MGoT are so won't do OPL and this is the only way we can get both cars out together.

It was at Silverstone when LoT shared the track with i think it was Honda OC and 5 of the Hondas slid off on the sighting laps ffs - that's Slipperystone for you. Good track though.

It was my out lap so was taking it easy. The rears just spun up and i wasn't expecting it. It was like a tanker had dropped diesel

Seriously on this day, one VX and one Elise were badly mullered courtesy of the concrete barriers. I count myself lucky that i wasn't up to speed because i may have joined the list.

Sorry the vid didn't continue (camera is powered off the car fag lighter and the car cut out) otherwise you would have heard the now obligatory 'apres-off' FFFS expletives.

I'am going to Silverstone!
I'ts gonna be my first trackday in the UK with my Opel Speedster Turbo.
Last year I won the Want2Race competition and I will be racing at Silverstone in the Lotus Trophy (14 april 2012)
I just want to learn the track a litlle bit.

Alain!! you're on here finally

For any that don't know Alain he's the very very fast Stage IV turbo that a few of us had an almighty battle with at Abbeville a while back. He was the guy who convinced me to go to ATS DTC's as he had more grip through the bends on them than I had on 16/17 SuperTurismo's on LTS A048's. We were both almost identical spec Nitrons.

Fortunately I am in the lowly un-tuned N/A so will probably struggle to spin the tyre in the wet anyways.... Jimmy - Would be good to see you there hope you can make it! Alain - Welcome to the UK! Looking forwarding to meeting you there.
