He is being. How about scrutinising lies and misrepresentation from the media themselves?
Well, they should be of course.
The problem is that tensions are running so high, and there's so much at stake, that any slightest whiff of bias is reported as being significant or campaign-defining, on both sides. On any normal week, this would not be bothered about.
On the other hand, people want from politicians of both sides, straight answers, not avoidance.

Why aren't they doing that now? Don't understand why they'd suddenly sell up to Chinese?
Because Yescotland will be needing foreign investment to prop up their economy once they have severed ties with their rich-uncle England.......

Ding ding ding ding ding ding [until bell breaks]
Take emotion out of the picture and the RBS statement was merely a statement "we will move our registered HQ". The BBC about an hour ago phrased it as "RBS will move their legal head office location". That's a fact. It's not spin.
What this means is different. So you could argue that the directors of a company legally based in England should also be in England. You could also argue that there has been much pomp and ceremony about amazon being legally registered in Holland and thus paying all their tax there. And thus if RBS do it they could, in theory, avoid paying tax in scotland.
However that is opinion. Some of it is even logical opinion.
But where we are no i that no-one is allowed an opinon when they work in the media.......otherwise there are howls of protest. So do we just want our media to spit out press releases ?

As an aside i don't know how anyone can watch the video of Salmond being a total prick to Nick Robinson and think "that's the man i want leading a fairer, more representative scotland"
He was patronising, arrogant and didn't even answer the question.

That's not what the BBC said Martin.
Were you in the gym with me this afternoon? Watching the news report i watched? That's what they said this afternoon.
Happy if you want to call me a liar.

Royal Bank of Scotland has confirmed it will relocate its registered headquarters to London if Scotland votes for independence next week.
In a letter to staff, the bank's chief executive said there was no intention to move operations or jobs.

David Cameron has phoned Santa Clause asking him if he will brief the press saying he will not take presents to children in Scotland if their evil parents vote yes. Ed Who has phoned the tooth fairy asking her to say she won't be able to slip pound coins under the pillows of Scottish children as we won't have the pound.

Scott that video changes not a thing. Not one thing. Other than it shows you are looking for shadows where there are none !
So the BBC said that prices may be different if we vote yes. That is what the chairman said. He said IF we vote yes and IF there are different taxation rates then prices may be different.
The BBC reported that the BBC would move their headquarters to london in the event of a yes vote. They then followed it up by Salmond's view that stories of banks relocating from Scotland were scare stories.
That is a 100% accurate statement. The HQ of RBS would be in London. So it would move to London. The statement from Ross about jobs came out AFTER the story broke. Not before as this video implies.
What parts, exactly, of that interview causes you so much concern? Genuine question from someone who thinks he's missing something !!!!
