It will need respraying when you remove the wrap so you might as well get it resprayed...or swap bodywork with someone who has the colour you want thumbsup

ok so wrap is the way to go Nah I try to keep away from UXB I don't like working with Arri's which what I was doing last time we met but I do still work in Pinewood so I can be seen on the A40 at the denham roundabout. I think I do a bit more research into a course I've seen a few which offer it and will do your own car as part of it.I'd have ago myself as I think you did but haven't got the time or a nice warm spacious place to do it.I'm sure it's harder than I think but it can't be that hard I've seen a few you-tube how to's I got a heat gun and the materials aren't that costly you gulfed your didn't you ????

why will it need a respry after removal ??
there is a product you can apply to remove the gunk left behind from a wrap
so what sort of damage dose it do to the paint ???

They don't do wraps. As JG said, ChrisS1 and SteveA have both wrapped their own cars for just the cost of the (remarkably cheap) vinyl. Chances are when removing the wrap, it'll take some lacquer and or paint with it, hence the "you'll need to get it resprayed" comment.

is that a fact or a bum clenching worry anyone removed a wrap and suffered this I'm gonna remove my stripes soon the guy sinclaires used to do mine did a sh*t job of mine and they have split so they will have to come off I really hope there is no damage !!!! once I've done this Mind you I have a few chips on the clams here and there so they will need to be sorted anyway before it's wrapped otherwise I will end up with dents in the surface if I wrap it won"t I ??

Removed some Le Mans vinyl from mine after circa 6 months and it took some quite large patches of lacquer off the front of the clam and a huge swathe of it off the drivers sill. :(

5oc, Darronwall and I have all removed wraps and had lacquer peel off in the process. It is unavoidable im afraid.

i waxed the car first which is why the wrap was at best questionable and at worst bloody horrible. But from a (long)distance it looked great. It didn't peal and lacquer off.
