Did you also change the fuel pump for an uprated one? Stock pumps have their limit with SC's...

The SC conversion was done by Hitec back in 2005, so I guess that they changed pump then.
At least I don't think that the car has been running with the original for 7 years... :)

I would check that, as uprating pumps was not a common practice with the early SC builds. Not expensive (search here) and easy to change as you already have the access hole.

Thanks for the tip! I didn't know that, I thought that it always was changed due to the higher hp. I read somewhere that the standard fuel pump only could feed 200-something hp (at least not as much as 258 as I have)... I'll try to find out...

260-270-ish seems to be where the stock maxes out, but depends on age and a clogged filter will make things worse. My low mileage Stage 2 with 250HP still has the stock pump, but I measured my AFR's and they are good at max rpm.

Regarding the splitter, I must say that I don't have a clue.

It's nice to see some old pics of my car! :)
Do you know Thomas (the previous owner in Germany)?

Do you know Thomas (the previous owner in Germany)?

I've met him once at the Nürburgring.

Have fun with your car,

greetings,

Marc

So, last week I changed the lower steering universal joint (from Eliseparts), the steering rack (quickrack from VX-Performance) and the gear knob (OMP Race).
Tonight I finished up with the Eliseparts removable steering wheel kit and the OMP Superquadro wheel.
With this, all work for the coming season is done. B)

Made a last upgrade for the coming season a couple of weeks ago.
