As above, does anyone know if there is more than one depth of bell-housing bolted onto these boxes?

Well apparently mine is a VXR M32, just connected and bled the hydrolics, pumped the clutch and fluid started pissing out of the bottom of the bell housing. The clutch pedal feels funny too, initially there was a lot of resistance then it felt normal except the pedal was slow to return :(

Have a look at Nev's blog. He had all sorts of grief initially getting his M32 up and running.

Will be 2 things causing the issue 1. release / slave failure, not connected correctly in box 2. The hard brake line to box (little silver item) is not seated correctly to pipe inside the box going to slave/release bearing My money is on number 2 :) You can fix very easy with box on and remove the metal alloy fitting that has the bleed nipple on it by removing the retaining clip and remove, reseat the rubber gasket onto the pipe before pushing back on and bleed ;) They tend to get pushed in to far and not seal correctly If its not that then box off time Hope this helps a bit DG

I will have a look but doubt 2 as there is only a tiny amount of fluid coming from that block. I actually used the one from the old F23 but didn't see any rubber gasket and I did look  Even if it is No.2 the box still has to come off to clean the fluid off everything :(

Maybe not explained correctly - the slave/release bolts to the box with 3 bolts. There is then a metal pipe that goes from the slave to the topof the box There is depending on if you used the F23 or M32 a molded connection to the pipe that runs betwwen that and the slave/release It is this connection that has a rubber seal that causes issues, did you remove or change? And from the molded / alloy connection goes to the rubber hose that goes to the chassis You could spray a nice bit of brake / clutch cleaning spray to clean it off and any slight bit left will burn off - done this before and had not slip or leaks after :) I need a picture to show you really, words confuse :D DG

This is what you mean, when I took the retaining clip out, the ally block popped off with the back pressure. Re-fitted the only way possible, pumped clutch and more fluid out the bottom of teh box but none from the ally block

you can see the rubber seal in your pic, it's fitted correctly. However the fluid doesn't look good at all thumbsdown Looks like water has got inside the slave cylinder :(

Got new fly, clutch and slave from Courtenay's, who knew it was for a conversion, so there shouldn't be any compatability issues. The new slave was fitted just before fitting the box so can't see how any water would get into it :(

RBF 660 that's still in from last year. I topped up with some cheaper but new and sealed Motul 5.1 that I use as a flush before I do my yearly fluid change. The milkshake was fine but my tea tasts like brake fluid

the first thing I would check would be that there wasn't another seal stuck inside the alloy block from the F23 clutch pipe. the next thing I would do is bleed the clutch pipe, using a pressure bleeder, until clear fluid came out

I found the M32 slave cylinder only leaks if the travel is too great, but having a courtenay fly and clutch should rule that out, other than that it's nearly always the seal is not seated correctly on the alloy block connection. Unless you never tightened the pipe to the slave cylinder :( As for the fluid colour, just looks wrong, so bleed the crap out
