Bugger. He must have bought the engine I had on my eBay watch list. :angry: Still, I've still got a chance on an Audi 5.0 V10. :D That's going to be some angle on those driveshafts to reach the hubs. Not sure about the way he's extended the subframe either. 4 lengths of threaded bar. :lol: There truly are some proper mentalists out there. Imnotworthy

bit off topic but that is the first time i have looked at a elise subframe and got some interesting changes and i like it!! would need some exhaust modding to get through it though..

Theres a lot of chin stroking debate to be had about balance etc but ultimately that is insane and brilliant in equal measure!

What a plonker! Surely there are easier ways to get 500 BHP! Why butcher an Elise? Why not just weld a tube chassis?

Why butcher an Elise? Why not just weld a tube chassis?

He could probably avoid stretching the chassis all together (although thats maybe not what he wants) by using the Audi 5.2 V10 and the latest generation B8-chassis FWD gearboxes.. Although the M5 V10 is undoubtedly a beast! Why the hell Porsche rear suspension??
