Fantastic another crazy fool out there :D Rossco stop putting ideas in my head ;) Audi RS6 twin turbo V10 with software is more than upto the job of turning back time :P At some point I will be doing my own project (be next year) and have LOTS of crazy ideas in my head. DG

I like conversions like this; just for seeing all the engineering effort that is put in. Its humbling! I appreciate it might not have the perfect result with factors like balance etc. The 'because I can' arguement gets my vote unfortunately.

DG,

Nah, heavy beast.. Ideal engine (IMHO) - RS4 V8 and new Audi diesel 6-speed = definately no need for chassis or even body extension. Shouldn't add much weight over a normal VXT, and with some other weight reduction and a remap, a nice ~500bhp/tonne track weapon

I'd already done the measurements, but do not have the pre-requisite skills or indeed space..

I for some strange reason feel the need for multiple cylnders :D Having 2nd thoughts on my octavia estate 4x4 tow / family barge new S3 conversion and going all 2.0 TDi and running a 2nd car day to day be that a vx220 with silly engine conversion or something different. Towing and my style of everyday driving and increased fuel costs seem to be costing a lot for a 220bhp octavia :( RS4 fits no problem - seen it in the engine bay :D I like turbos though - although the RS4 at high rpm would sound fantasitc in a vx with the roof off Problem with the RS4 lump is it never seems to make the std power output and even with remap tends to only get close - really is a trade of for that noise imo Sure the 1st test drive of Luke tfsi conversion will remind me that you dont need any more than 400bhp in a vx DG

We are making up adaptor plates to take a coma box like a fezza has to fit an lsx v8 engine..... Sure it wouldn't be hard to make one for a v10. It's a transverse box too :)

My previous car was an Audi S6 5.2 V10 and before that was M5 V10. I cannot believe someone is trying to put engines like the above in a VX! Absolutely crazy but amazing at the same time! Fair play to him, it will be an absolute BEAST!

Quite quite amazing and audacious, though 500 BHP is hard to nail onto the tarmac IMO, though if any engine can those BMW NA engines are super smooth.
