Anyone used (or know of) Torque Technique in Salisbury? They specialise in custom made exhausts and components. Search doesn't show anything relevant. Interested in a full system for the VXT cheers for any help

I had not heard of them until recently. I thought I saw their building in the Churchfields industrial estate on Monday but unless they have moved I assume it must just be a similarly named company as I see from their website they have a Wilton address. Maybe just go along and get a quote? It would give you a chance to see their premises and gauge from their appproach whether you would be happy with them doing the work. I would be more inclined to go for a more tried and tested system. If you wanted something more unique you could try Janspeed who are also based in Salisbury, although their work is of the highest quality it won't be cheap, I went there for a measure up and they where quoting In the region of £800 for a cat back.

They'd already been recommended to me for the quality of their work but I just wondered whether anyone on here had used them before. Sportomotive suggested them and they are exclusively a Janspeed supplier themselves! The owner there used to have a VX220 a while back and is getting back to me with prices for a full system or backbox. I've had a stage one remap with miltek precat pipe and a k&n panel filter so now looking at stage 2 options. Did you go with the Janspeed in the end? (VXT?)

Yes VXT. I would have liked to have got a Janspeed but the price was a little much for me just for the cat back so I went with a Larini in the end. The guys said they would have worked with me until the sound was to my liking but due to them not having a jig set up like I believe they have for a NA that it would be quite alot more than they initially quoted before inspection (c £550) for a bespoke system. Would be interested to see your reports on Torque Technique / Janspeed if /when you go down that route.

I have a janspeed exhaust on my NA, beautifully made and the sound is perfect, quietish when cruising, proper growl when underload and it pops and burbles on overrun. its been on for 60k miles and no signs of it giving up the ghost in the slightest... thumbsup
