What sort of affect would it have on the sound? Slightly deeper?

If it is anything like my 2.25 piper was then never in a million years (pops and bangs on overrun where quite addictive though :))

Blimey I stand corrected. Do you have the 2.25 then? Mine blew all of the packing within 6 months and would set off car alarms in covered car parks :)

Pretty sure all the packing is out of mine too, but I've got standard cat, pre cat removed and standard airbox so I don't know if you had a different set up? Mine does sound good but it's not offensive! Lol

Mine was exactly the same apart from induction. Still sort of miss the noise :( (sorry for the hijack op)

if that's my old one it's the 2.25" the 2.5" is the quite one with large silencer

I had a bit of a worry that my piper was gonna get taken off for the repair and replaced with an oem one. But after ringing garage it's gonna stay! Hopefully insurance won't kill her off now. Piper has a brill sound but don't know what type it is.

My 2.5" piper is pretty loud, I'm swapping it for a vxt back box within the next few weeks, so it may well be up for sale soon
