So, my VXT has finally been treated to a bit of Liam magic after extensive research on the owners web site. For those of us who do not already know MMG's stage 1.5 - it uses the existing OEM exhaust but with the pre-cat removal to free up airflow. Then there are a set of cooler running spark plugs and airbox modifications before the ECU is remapped with a bespoke map. Before the remap I was suprised to find that I was making 207BHP! However, afterwards it now makes 237BHP and over 250FT torque! I genuinely cant believe the difference in the way that the car now performs. It sounds amazing and accelerates like sh** from a wet blanket! Why on earth was the car not made to perform like this from the factory? Now I am really enjoying driving the car again. Every now and again, you stumble over a great service / company. I am pleased to recommend MMG to any VX owner. I found them very proffessional, knowlegeable and helpful. Liam actually was working on my car until 8PM at night! I have attached dynos of my car before and after. I just think that this stage of tune offers big smiles for the money. But now the tuning bug has really bitten...... just wanted to share this with other VXT owners. Jon

Good news that you're another happy MMG customer & are pleased with the results Liam has got for you with your car. He's a very helpful guy. Goes above & beyond with the level of service he gives. Enjoy...

Thanks for the feedback. I was very scepticle about remaps and the difference it can make before I had this done. I genuinely cannot believe the difference it has made to the car though. You are correct - MMG do not have a dyno. Its a computer generated power line. I myself am a little dubious about its accuracy against a rolling road print out. However, there is no denying the power and drivability of the car afterwards. Took a petrol head friend out in it the other day. He simply couldnt believe the performance of a VXT. Lets say it pulls some naughty MPH numbers rather quickly. I can only imagine how a stage 4 - 5 car performs? Perhaps one day I will get a passenger ride in an owners club car to see myself? Regards, Jon

Stage 4 MMG is scary quick. Glad your enjoying your car thats what its all about. Plenty of jealous people on here love traipsing to norfolk for no need. As long as your happy, which everyone that goes MMG is then just enjoy the car. Ive not met an unhappy customer yet but have met unhappy CMS customers though! Before you all start kicking off thats a fact and im not naming names. If you can rip into MMG then i can rip into CMS! The fact is they are both great tuners, go with who's closer to you.

MMG can sell sand to the suadis! FACT! i have no doubt in his work as you say, it must be good as everyone raves on about it. however, if a tuning company could get away with not spending 30k+ on a rolling road then they would..... oh and i dislike intercoolers on a VX FACT! and i like saying the word FACT... FACT!

LOL shut it Rafa im going bed. MMG dont pretend to map na's or do bad supercarged maps they like to stick to tuning very fast turbo's, but can map anything. Just the fact a small company can even rival (which they do very well!) a big company like CMS shows how good they are. Let customers decide, but like i say you never find an upset MMG customer!

Cs aren't a big company! I hear MMG is a one man band, so he does very well for himself, cs are older than mr MMG and there is only 6 off them! I reckon he offers a remap and a blowjob that's how he gets people to praise him

:) Enough said. Im going bed Joe this argument can go on forever. Im drunk and know who i would/do take the car to. Oh and MMG aren't just a one man band even though Liam is the face and main man of the company. CMS are a massive company! Ask anyone in the vauxhall world!
