Hi all, I have to say that if I were going to change my VX then the Exige S would be the only choice, just the problem of 53k to deal with. If the OTR was 40-45k then I'm sure there would be a higher volume potential but at current pricing its going to be relatively low vol. There will be an official Lotus Exige S at Thierry Vierhelst Spa day tomorrow, I might have a drive down to have a look. What's of interest is the rear anti roll bar fitted, now could a VX be adapted ?? that's an interesting possibility. When I fitted my Komo tec strut brace I noticed on track that the back end is more responsive out of corners and less prone to flex, by fitting a RARB then this would be a major improvement for all VX's Cheers Ian

That bosch system all looks very fancy, but doesn't it defeat the point of why we like this type of car? Isn't it more about trying to tame the mustang and find its limits than putting on a saddle and blinkers and going for a gentle trot through the country side without fear that, one day, it may just rear up and throw you into the brambles?

I do appreciate the car and like the finished product but as has been said, it kind of detracts from what the cars are. Don't get me wrong, I have no doubt it will be a good/great car however it seems that there is becoming less and less to differentiate cars. It seems cars are getting softer and softer, with more and more luxuries and less driver involvement.

Would be interested in how the 'switch' will be received by insurers - probably be seen to allow for a cheaper policy for a 350bhp pocket rocket

For every owner who wants to turn it off i'd say there are two or three others who buy it because of the fancy electronics. When you consider you can get traction control, esp etc etc on an 80bhp fwd shopping cart many people think it's dangerous to have a more powerful car without these items.

How many people have looked at your strangely when you've said your car doesn't have power steering or leccy windows ?

Speak to Simon at Cornering Force, he is really worth a phone call.

Cornering Force don't have an online shop, so you can see it on Mango. Else google Cornering Force site:Vx220.org.uk for more pictures. (techie's for example)

It was the only bit of my car which i was delighted about at Abingdon on Friday. Suspension set-up is simply wonderful.

Having owned a stg 4 vxt there where times I'd have liked a traction contorl option, the important thing for me is that the handling still works with it off so it's a aid it you need it rather than being a essential.

I do hate that spolier though

I like the idea of it. Makes it more liveable on a day to day basis. There's been plenty of times when I've been out in the VX and it's started lashing down and all I want to do it get home safely. I'd love it if I could flick a switch and then suddenly I had a nice safe electronically controlled car. Likewise I'd love it if I could make it less extreme when sitting in traffic. Interestingly enough I just saw a review of the new Elise S which has 220bhp and an engine that tops out at 6800rpm. Sound familiar? It's priced at 36k.

That Elise 'S' is quite porky too in weight terms.

Yeah, was at Murray Lotus today and saw a second hand Elise SC for £29,950!! WTF! I think electronics have their place. My Z4 has them and I have to admit that I like the safety net sometimes. Not something you want to rely on 100% of the time though, and if you cant switch it completely off then it a bag of sh!t :P

I know douche bag, just proving a point that they are pricey :P They fitted my new exhaust last week and destroyed the mesh bit above the exhaust tips. Dunno what you have to do to get attention to detail nowadays  Do it yourself I suspect. Will be doing that from now on...

Is attention to detail using all the same coloured cable ties?
