Another vote for Maidstone Sports Cars from me, popped down there on Saturday and job done in 30 seconds as I'd already fitted the module myself.

I managed to get it coded at Murray Lotus in Edinburgh in the end. I say "coded" as all they aparently did was reset the thing... Didnt charge me a penny as they hadnt done it before and didnt know if it worked 100%. Blatantly has though, as I havent even thought about it since, car just slows as its supposed to. Left it on in Wales and had the inside wheel screetching under braking a few times, so it obviously allows a little slip. Felt it fire once as I got a line massively wrong as I was changing Bee Gees song. Pretty impressed ;)

Finally got my ABS ECU enabled at Lotus Silverstone yesterday, no more tell tale ABS light on the dash all the time. A small test on some gravel shows it works very well with a standard 17" front and rear set up. Thanks for setting up the group buy JG!

JG do you happen to remember what the retail price was for a new unit? I've emailed the chap that was dealing with the group buy to find out and enquire about any future group buys but not heard anything...

call Paul at Christopher Neil explaining that you know you've missed the GB, i'm sure he will do something. Probably won't be the BG price, but you may be pleasantly surprised.

Got mine sat in the living room at home and awaiting fitment/coding. Hangar111 can do it but have said 1 1/2 hours as it will likely need to have brakes bled. Anyone else had to bleed after fitting it?

Nope,no brakes bled here. In fact, I don't think any of the cars done at Maidstone have had brakes bled, so seems excessive?

There's no need for the brakes to be bled. You're not touching the hydraulic side of the braking system in any way. It's a closed system at the start, during and after the change of "brain".

4 Way Lotus ABS is bloody brilliant. You can get away with all manor of crap driving and REALLY take the p!ss. Got it on my Elise R and it's come in for comment at a Car Limits day as to just how much I'm getting away with! Paul

Fitted my 111R ABS unit last night (was used, so already coded), and the ABS triggered this AM randomly and the light came on and deactivated the system. My original VX controller has been doing the same recently, but I've had problems with the drivers front hub wiring (broke, then resoldered it), so I guess thats punting out inconsistant signals, causing the ABS to say - no more!
