The triangles can be a pain to get off. Had to destroy one of the things to get mine off, replaced with a much easier to use one. If you get a rover metro one then make sure it's externally adjustable rather than internally, otherwise it wont fit. They should come with the rubber ribbed section, mine cost £10 from local scrappy. If a screw falls into the door then a long magnetics screwdriver worked a treat :) Managed to find a variety of fixings in there...

The MGF ones fit & also the MGTF ones which are electric & heated, I've got a pair waiting to get fitted & wired up when I find the time. As for getting the wing mirrors off I found it very simple but don't drop the screws!

Sorry to resurrect, but how do you get to the three fixings inside the door? Is the cover for these the "triangle piece" referred to above?

and you might want to take the door panels off before you start for

when you drop one of the bolts inside the car :P

no need to take door panels off, just take the plastic cap at the side of the door near the lock mechanism, then just get an extendable magnet and you should find it that way, thats how i did it
