Id probably do no prep work what so ever!!
But I'd drive the car to somewhere that was a bit impoverished and people desperate for the work, like Hull.... <g>
I will ge getting a new clam fitted at some point this year so that will need to be sprayed and so too the doors to blend..... might as well the rest of the car at that point.
