i bought some carbon turbo ears off hark ordered inserts from auto vaux they were all here by tuesday this week.
Posted Image

last night i decided to make a start on the tubby ears as i picked the wheels up from powdercoaters yesterday.
i was nervous doing this after reading about them but a few guides on here really helped i stuck them in with tigerseal and the mixed bonding up to cover them they are solid now.

some cars i like all black and this is one of them looks mean and stealthy. i wouldnt do this to any other car as normally i hate gloss black wheels as i find they look cheap and tacky on most other cars but i really like them on this just want coilovers so it sits nice.

Yes I think powder coated would be the best bet. Is it just a case of undoing the Allen key nuts to take them out?

yes, the ring is just the 6 allens, and then carfully pry the ring off the clam. There is a small cork layer between the ring and the clam. It's not bonded or anything but age may require some gental force to come loose. The rear of the allans go into 6 nuts at the back, at other side of clam. Some remain rock solid when removing the allens, and some fall in your clam. I have not figured out the details yet, as i'm a lucky bugger with my nuts remaining where they are when undoing the allens. The silver part on the lock is sort of "clicked" over the black plastic part of the lock, and needs pried off. REMOVE VERY GENTALLY, as this one can get fooked easily.

I listed it as I really wanted a road quad either Yamaha raptor or a Suzuki ltr. So I was gona sell van which I use for work and vx get a Nissan navara for work aswel as a car an a quad. But the more I look at the car and drive it the more I want to keep it. My girlfriends sisters boyfriend has just bought 'slinkys' I think it is sc vx and it is awesome and if I keep the car I will only end up ploughing loads of money into it supercharging it. I jut don't know what to do. Ha
