My r33 is just going in to have new speakers installed and for a good engine clean and flush. Nobody interested in this hugely fast yet under powered gtr. It's capable of much more than it has. It's also a very smooth driving car. It pulls like a train on the motor way. It will hold it's own comfortably against most super cars but Im needing some rear wheel drive action in my life again ;)

It doesnt fit the Lion king circle of life...people tend to go noble/caterham or comfy plushwagon after a vx. As was prev mentioned, selling privately would serve you much better, then you could choose the right vx for you.

the name cliff rings a bell. it was a blue Scooby.

no the blue vx was just blue. I see it a lot actually. we used to flash each other when I had my own vx220.

That sounds like Cliffie... Blue Scooby swap for a Red N.A.

Not that it is N.A. anymore.

Mike is now racing that car in the TimeAttack Series - the car is legendary on here, and spent a significant amount of time as a replica off the famous one in "Cars".

That looks very familier...

Do you know what chassis number it was? Or who you sold it to?

That sounds like the car for you mate!! what are the odds of that??

Just meet him half way to do the swap? And if its done 24000 genuine miles and never been crashed, I would not worry about any noise its making, its a vauxhall, parts are cheap! ;) And mine makes new noises every day, dont mean there is anything wrong, they are prone to rattles etc these cars.....

"vx220 turbo for sale £9000 1 years mot 6 months just under 24000 miles fsh both engine mounts replaced last year. its been remaped approx 220-230 hp"

I originally bought it from a local dealer in Glasgow pheonix motors. I ended up needing a car with bigger back seats so had to sell on. Regretted it for quite a while. Still looking. Nobody seems interested. It might not be a luxury car but it's a damn site easier to get in and out. Air con blows freezing cold, heater blows nice and hot. Car idles perfect, always warmed up. Sits under a nice snug cover at night and washed every week and waxed every month. Wheels cost lots of money. Very rare. Wet conditions are a piece of cake for it. It's only fault for me now is it doesn't look like a vx220 and it's not rwd. I want a rwd car again for knockhill fun. P.s this car hasn't ever been tracked. It's got the same kakimoto exhaust on that it got in Japan and it's to loud for the British racing circuits. A bung would stifle the power and slicencers take away the rb noise so it wasn't worth it to me or the previous owner.

Had a look at cliffs pics. Yes that's the car. I remember what he looked like as well. Looks like he's transformed it. The arse on it now looks fantastic with the rear diffuser. Last daily bump. I'll do it weekly now until I get bored or banned. Really really want a vx220. Will consider a non turbo with cash my way as well although I'd prefer a straight swap for a turbo or money your way for a stage 2+ turbo

Thor sure your car is great, but why not as said just sell it on PH to someone who wants one and have your choice of the VX's in the market?

Also I can pop the car into the garage Motherwell (gtr specialist) and pay them to do an health check. The engine is solid and well looked after.

I'm tempted but if I do that my wife will want me to put some towards our new house :( I'm also kind of wanting to keep the gtr as well. Im still continuing to buy little bits for it now. Just bought upgraded speakers, hand made arch defenders that will look great when I buy the spacers. If I'm honest I can't bring myself to stick it on pistonheads. If I do a swap it's done quick and painless and without the constant insulting offers you get, the I want your car but I need to sell mine first BS.

It was also the wife that talked me into selling the vx all those years ago. Pfft

Well last time I did it cliff from here got the better end of the stick. I just really want a vx220 turbo but if I sell the car I know I won't buy one if that makes any sense.
