I'm almost certain that I've been sent an incorrect length of pipe by apmotorstore for their Ebay heater intake solution. Some photos of the relative lengths of the pipes are here; I'm going to trim the 45 degree bend down to size because compared to the photos on the Ebay link it massively overshoots where it should end. Has anyone else had a similar experience when fitting the pipes? Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Pete

Spoke to the store, if the elbow section has ASH stamped on it it's too long and they've possibly run out of correct lengths. ...angle grinder to the ready! :angry2:

Don't bother - it makes zero difference. I'd just ask for your money back

Agreed. It is a PITA to fit, doesn't really fit properly, and doesn't really make much difference. When I can be bothered, I am going to seal the box and replace the ducting with normal intake type ducting. thumbsup

I fitted one of these :-

comes with with trumpet fittings at both end although you will need to trim the one
that fits to the heater box like this:-

I reconstructed the matrix heater box, sealed and lagged it, fitted the pipe (after hours of cursing), insulated the air's passage beneath the dash, ensured the air only flows up to the screen and not to feet and I think I can tell a difference!

I was VERY disappointed with the ebay heater pipe. I would certainly NOT receommend one!!!! Pleased to hear you have made some improvements, I would guess this is not due to the ebay pipe though. Kind regards, Paul
