if you hold on there will be an ITG induction kit available in a couple of weeks time......bit more pricey but it does have performance! :groupjump:

Also, what about a K&N Panel filter (straight replacement in the std box). Waste of time? :poke:

: the k&n isnt hard to fit but it is very fiddley(long boney fingers a must) you have to remove the back wheel, and the iner wheel arch. and the instructions arent great. it sounds great so well worth the the effort. :drink: :drink: :jump: :sleepy: :beat:

I did mine myself, took about 2 hrs all in. Putting the bits together in the correct order was the toughest part, plenty of common sense required as the instructions rely on pictures that seem to be taken from a mile away! Rear wheel and arch liner were easy, old airbox came out no probs. New filter fitted great, You will not regret the sound and performance (seemed to make the engine more free revving) Have fun playing! Mike :D

I did a cheapie K&N57i mod on my vx, using a mx5 K&N kit I had lying about. The original airbox will come out through the engine cover. I just used some convoluted aluminium duct and jubilee clips to attatch the filter to the inlet manifold/throttle body duct. The filter is visible through the air intake, but only just. Makes a nice noise... Chevy

I take it no one has tried the K&N replacement planel filter then? Just thought it might be a cheap and easy thing that you can fit/unfit in a matter of minutes... It's only about £30 I think....

The pannel filter will do a good job, but it's the induction noise that the cone produces that makes it really worth while. It depends what you want, nothing wrong with the pannel but for me one of the weakest things about the vx is the engine note. You pays your money and makes your choice, mike.

Just been searching and the ITG induction kit for the Elise is 300 +vat and delivery from www.race-speed.com :o :o Surely not that much more power over a 100 quid K+N??
