I've never had track cover and never been in a situation where I though it was needed apart from maybe having a 90mph 4 wheel drift at croft!
One of my fb pals was there and says everyone got pulled back in for a second drivers briefing after the red flags. Crazy.

Unfortunately I have been on one like that, was run by Easytrack IIRC. At least 5 cars crashed and loads went off.
One top of 10+ stoppages for red flags, they stopped the day twice to give everyone a bollocking (rather than target individuals.. They even let one back out after he'd bent his front wing back out, only for him to go off again.
In this case is a particular shame as Javelin have a very good reputation.

I was @ Anglesey about 3 weeks ago which was again with Javelin. It wasn't quite as bad as yours but was the worst I've seen, 4 red flags and 2 wrecked cars and a trip to hospital for one of the guys. The guy who went to hospital managed to "forget" about rocket and just wen't straight on into a tyre wall (and he could well have been doing 100mph when he came to the top of the hill), track was shut for 45 minutes whilst they rebuilt the tyre wall, his car was a mess.
Another red flag was for a E46 M3 who lost a rear wheel, he was lucky and it wasn't at any great speed, that could have been carnage!

To be clear this is no reflection on Javelin who were professional throughout the day and even went halves with croft on replacing the damaged helmet my mate had been wearing. Just too many egos out on track

Black flags should be implemented on drivers who are getting ragged and looking likely to have/cause an accident thus preventing them. Perhaps the quality of marshalls at the circuits is dropping? I use MGOT for the Midget and they are probably the strictest bunch I know. 2 black flags and your out. That is how it should be as the etiquette on track at those days is fantastic. Closely followed by the LOT days. Personally I don't ever do the mixed days as they do tend to attract idiots with more power than their car can handle, let alone then they can.
The worst track day I do for etiquette is the National
