by time you time replacing cill or repairing sill spay job and time the car isn't worth £6k before work.    ill start bidding at £3k

Show me a late 2003 HPI clear VX220 with Full Vauxhall Service History and 58K miles for £6K and you can have this one for 99p   That said,  I'll take your £3k if I can keep the wheels, engine, roof, both clams, rear lights and headlights ;)

Paid a little over £8k for hpi clear 53 plate with lotus abs, nitrons, compos and a supercharger around 8 months ago... Wheels and suspension alone sold for £1,200... So 99p you say?

Yep 99p.  Show me a VX220 in perfect condition that is HPI clear with Full Vauxhall Service History with around 58K on it for around £6K and it's yours for 99p!

Errrr yours doesn't look that perfect to me? Though really, what VX is in perfect condition (vocky you're not allowed to play)

You said one that was on the road for £6K!  Show me one! or give it up!

lol Duct tape will fix that   How long you owned the car ?   You did that damage today ? how

Nagh, my Duct tape is black :(    Had it since Jan.  Drove it home like a beast 130 miles in the wet.    Took her out today again in the wet and hit some grease.  Must have as she normally sticks like Sh!t to a blanket.
So only owned 5 months little bump and wanting to sell?? Have you fallen out of love for it or is there more to it? Shocked no one has advised best to open a new for sale thread

Yes mate.  I always wanted one.  Bought her after much searching.  This type of car isn't for me.  I like my creature comforts.  It's like a pretty girl who turns out to be a whore.  Nothing suspicious, please come and see her, nothing to hide, see the docs, scrutinise to your hearts content.  VERY straight car that has had a poor slip on the grease.  PM me for REG so you can check her out or discuss any concerns you have if you're interested in buying.

Lot of damage let the insurance write it off see what they offer you , crap prob! As vocky said 3,4 k

Barely any damage.  £500 if you do it yourself.  £2000 if you take it to Vauxhall.  Not doing insurance as they will pay CAP / Glass's price of £6000 and will then suffer high insurance costs for 5 years.  Respect to Vocky for his opinion, but seriously, this car is worth much more than that.  There is currently one in the Northeast that has been VERY shoddily repaired for 5.5K, 2 years older, 90K miles AND on the register.  This car is HPI clear, FVSH, Low Miles and otherwise immaculate apart for £500 DIY repair.

another door, new sill - yes thats beyond repair unless you are a bodger, another rear wishbone(s), another rear tiebar, another rear wheel, rear tyres look budget - so two decent tyres and paintwork. Not forgetting the rear subframe might be bent as well.

£500, you must be a trader trying to flog a car you bought for £3k from a salavge company and think we are all fecking stupid

ps: to remove both clams to replace the sill will cost much more than £2k, a sill is £600 + vat unpainted and not fitted.

Thats a cat D write off it it goes through insurance, so probably a £4k-£5k bill at a dealer.

Not at all mate.  Do you want to see the V5?  Registered to me since purchase.  My car, bought from a dealer, hit the curb in it yesterday afternoon.  You know what they say about assuming????

This car will not go through the insurance, it's 100% HPI clear and will remain that way.  Anyone interested in helping me get her back on the road or interested in buying her.  Let me know.  But no snidey unsubstantiated remarks please... thumbsdown

Fair point well made kind Sir. But please ask, not assume! ;)

I read how helpful you guys were to the previous OP and could see your passion for the VX. Hence me registering on here.  I thought maybe you might throw some of that passion my way! (So to speak)

Apologies, as I seem to have offended you guys.  That was certainly not my intention :(

Wow, that is a lots of VW220's! :o

I'm open to offers.  If anyone local to J7 / J9 of the M6 wants to pop round for a cuppa and have a look, let me know.  As soon as this rain stops, I will jack her up and look.  It was a slow slide, so I'm hopeful that the suspension isn't the subframe.
