I am regrettably stripping and selling my VX220 as parts due to it being the victim of two unfortunate accidents, one of which i was reversed into by an uninsured driver, and the other where i had a dual fault accident with a Skoda Octavia. Due to not having fully comprehensive insurance or the funds to fix it i can not claim for the VX or repair it. Due to both accidents the Chassis has been bent so it is technically a write off, however it has not been officially written off. I paid £10,000 for the vX and it only has 42,000 on the clock. I still owe around £4000 on the finance as i have only had the car for less than a year (sob story) so selling it as parts is probably gunna make me the most money. i am willing to sell the car as a whole but i am looking for a reasonable price as the finance needs paying. THE DAMAGE: Chassis - bent Rear offside wheel - buckled, offside side skirt - big whole on inside of rear wheel arch. rear clam - minor damage, repairable nearside door - cracked inside, not viable from the outside. MODS: Smoked side repeaters TAT Diffuser Black V Photos to follow. Please message with interests and i will get back to you with prices. It might take a day or two due to work commitments as i do go away weeks at a time. CHEERS

Photos post accident will be useful and close up of chassis damage plus you should post a price you want for the complete car to please the mods. Be aware though, a cat c/d will only go for between £3,500 and £4k and yours will be Cat B.

What Mike said, although I don't agree with the CAT C/D/B stuff as it hasn't actually been written off. So sold as accident damaged but not categorised as it's not been subject to an insurance claim. We need current pics.

Those are the current pics!! The cosmetic stuff is all fixable, It might not be as bad as you think. Myself and others have had knocks to the wheels like that and it just needed replacement hub carrier and wishbones. Right, before you go stripping that car. Jack the back up and get that wheel off, arch liner out and post some close up photo's of the damage in that area. Are all the other corners ok?

the frame is definitely bent, i had it assessed by a trusted mechanic/friend and he wouldnt have turned down the work if he could have repaired it. It was also looked at by his parter who used to do fibre glass work for lotus elis, he was going to do all the body work repairs. there is also damage to the chassis on the near side where it was reversed into to the rear of the nearside door, however that damage didnt come to light untill the second accident.

Rear wheel looks a bit wonky but that might just be a snapped track rod end.

Looks like little more than a bit of fiber glass repair and a new tie-rod? Seen much worse put back on the road.

maybe its the rear subframe, or the suspension mounting points to the chassis

i will try find out in details what the full damage is, im no mechanic so if someone says to me its fcuked, its fcuked. so to anyone who has messaged me, stand by. if it is only the sub frome, then sweet il get it repaired, but the impact for the reverse was pretty much on the side vent, so i dont know if thats where the sub frame is or whatever.

Here's a VX with all the plastic removed.

As you can see you would need to go quite deep to get to the alu chassic.
The wheel may have taken most of the impact, and tranferred it to the rear chassis (the dark grey part) which is bolted to the alloy section, and thus replacable.
Your damage may be well repairable.
