to be fair, it might end up being the daftest thing we've ever done  We're not going to really know what the car is capable of until we get it on track, and we won't know if we're competitive until we get to the first few races but we'll see how we get on :)

Who's driving?

Both of us, it's a 40 minute race with one driver change. Anyone competing on their own has to get out of the car in the pits, for the same length of time it would take to change drivers.

As said Ali, there are a few things I would put straight on the car if not already fitted. Just off the top of my head: -Uprated engine mounts (at very least the lower rear, make sure you do the bush at same time too). -Uprated gear linkages (either ones with the c-clips or rose jointed - c-clips fine in my experience) - Solid rear beam mounts Bakers Bushes and Mountings can supply all of those, I can ask them about a discount if you like? I would also think very much about uprated rear torsion bars and ARB (23mm torsion bars at a minimum, ideally matched with 25mm ARB. I'd also go 325lb springs on the front as a starter. Once my 23mm bars are fitted you are welcome to try my car, runs 325lb front although standard diameter rather than a 2.25"). We've just done a group buy on the torsion bars at £210 delivered, can again ask if you are interested. If you are going out on a track/testday soon, let me know when and where and see if I can come too.

:yeahthat:

It's kind of how it all started. After the initial silly idea we decided to look for a series where there was a driver change half way through so not only did we both get to race but you also split the costs between you.

Thanks, will speak to Duncan about what order we're going to do stuff in. We need to get all of the must haves out the way first and then start looking for where the gains can come from. We're going to strip some bits off the car and sell them on, to raise funds towards things we need so I'll get back to you, cheers thumbsup

I'm going to have a look for some track days before Chrimbo, will keep you posted!

If you are both novices possibly Track Day Trophy would be better. Team Trophy seems to be what you progress to after Track day Trophy
