Here are some photos of the cable throttle pedal.

With adjustable stops the height and length of the pedal can be set so the pedal height relative to the brake pedal can be set as well as the travel of the pedal.

The amount of cable movement can then be set by selecting different positions for the ball joints and cable fixing to suit the throttle body used to achieve full opening.

A spring can also be used between the body and pedal rod to assist pedal return if required.

Dave.

Looking good Dave! thumbsup Much prefer mine with the return spring fitted pedal to body, the pedal returns under the foot more positively with it :)

Oh... Guess you can't retro fit a throttle cable to the existing TB and ECU then?

Not to the existing TB you would need a new cable one, as to the ecu I not certain need to look at the wiring and see if you could adapt the oem plug wires for the new throttle position sensor and what wires are left over

Chances are it'd have a proper hissy fit unless you made lots of fun contraptions to make it think the ETB and Pedal were still OEM parts.... Easier to drop in a DTA/Omex/Motec/MBE etc

you'd have to move the pedal sensors to the TB end mounted to a suitable cam arrangement, remove the servo motor but retain the motor position sensor. Then mechanically set it all up.

yes, then the ecu thinks the throttle is stuck because the commanded % position doesn't match with what its seeing so it goes in to limp mode

Great! I'll have one of those! I have an Emerald ECU waiting to hook up. With the intake and exhaust mods the car runs lean at high RPM. I have a Apexi AFC inline on the map sensor circuit which helps some but it's a not an ideal solution as I have to max out the sensor input to get anywhere near a good burn. Be great to tune the car correctly.
