How much work is involved in installing this?

I'm assuming you need a new cable controlled throttle body? How do you tell the ECU to ignore the throttle position it will be expecting?

I currently need a new accelerator pedal, but I'm wondering if this is a viable option instead?

You need a new ECU as well.

This is one Dave did for me about 18 mths ago, but I've only just got round to fitting it

He very kindly modified it to work with a Lotus S2 throttle cable that has a much more bulky ball joint arrangement than it was originally intended for, hence the tube welded on the end. I did end up having to commit an act of vandalism to this tube as there was an interference issue with the "shelf" in the footwell.

(Look away Dave :D )

At the time he did offer to make any changes, but I'm far too impatient and the cut off disc was already on the grinder :D  I just altered the angle of the tube to roughly follow the line of the box and it all fits perfectly thumbsup All I've got to do now is secure the throttle cable to the shelf with a p-clip when I can summon up the arsedness to get back in the footwell.
