on a similar subject, has anyone trimmed / lined a (JB) hard top? the guy who sprayed mine suggested lining it in alcantara - wondered if anyone had done it and had an opinion?

I bought mine with the hardtop already trimmed in alcantara. It's also been dynamatted (if it's not a word, it should be.) DtT did the work.

Once fitted it looks fine but the edges don't look very pretty when it's off the car. Can't comment on how difficult the work is but it certainly looks pretty good and makes a big difference to noise and temperature.

I also have some DtT work, if I was doing the same again, I wouldn't have the stitching on the dash plates, I would just wrap them. Quality is excellent though :) Black alcantara dash, with flocked vents (there I NO point wrapping the dash if you don't also do this). Purple stitching, leather door cards, purple stitching etc etc.

when i got mine the dash had already been done, am guessing its a DtT job, black with red sticthing and the dash plates are just sprayed black - so looking at something for those one day - but think thats going to be an excuse for more carbon.

whats this flocked vents you speak of? i may have vent envy ! ;-)

I had my interior done by DtT and i couldn't be happier. The quality of his work is outstanding!

I had my dash plates, dash top and binnacle all done by him. Black Alcantara with red stitching.

I also found a place on ebay (http://myworld.ebay....=p2047675.l2559) they do the door cards, handbrake gaiters, gear gaiters etc for very reasonable prices :)

These pics were taken before i put the gaiters and new gear knob on but show the quality of DtT's work

I'm still trying to decide if I'd go for alcantara or leather dash trim. There was a chap from Europe that had leather dash and binnacle and looked fantastic but the alcantara looks equally impressive.

Smooth the vents off first too, makes them look better for being flocked.
