not mine but ill help with fitting if you are local to me (about a days work) :)

http://www.ebay.co.u...=item19dc5b6fdd

Deano

The above unit is the MG rover one from the v8 rover 75 MGZT. I think the V8 versions are different to what we want with up to 6 cylinders as the normal RC unit number is not available, I jumped at looking at this but decided not to buy as I was unsure.

These units are easy to come by for less, there is a unit with the same model number for £149 on ebay, but you would want the digital adjuster which is £220 brand new.

If we can get these to work, then they would be a great solution for us at very little cost.

...I wonder if racelogic make TC for any other cars that are more suiting???

Ok defo gonna plump for one of these. Absolutely cannot afford fitting so hopefully one of the good souls on here wouldn't mind giving me a hand that would be amazing? I wondered if a few of us could club together and fit at the same time and if we all donated some pennies we could give the 'expert' a decent sum? J

there is also a box to sort out noisey abs signals at £95+vat to factor in too....

I'm sure I remember seeing somewhere how to make this. There's only pennies worth of electronics in it. That saves you over £100 straight off.

I am the chap who developed this device and published the results including a proper software setup of the ECU on my website www.lotus116.de. Took me weeks(!) to sort out how to cope with the noisy ABS signals you get if you connect the RL ECU to it. I also developed a printed circuit board by myself and let them be fabricated (that costs some money, pal!), I made a housing, cable trees and built some of these devices in OEM quality. Sold a small batch of them for 50 euros per unit. I think that's been fair for all the work I put into it. The electronic parts built into the device are worth pennies, right. But there are some other things you have to take into account also. If I hadn't done all the work noone including me would have got the opportunity to fix the noise issues at very low speeds.

If I read comments like this it does not emphasize me to publish any other important results I got from my work.

Note: if these devices have been sold for 95 pounds + vat someone has made some profit reselling them. But profit also is not bad. It's necessary to keep the ones live their lives that deliver you the goods you need.

And I would bet a fortune on, that every one of you earn your money by things someone developed who has to be paid for and the profit others make by fabricating and selling these things.

Just think about that for a minute!

Why would the fact that you have helped other owners, and made some money stop you posting anymore of your work or findings? If I knew it had cost pennies to make and now someone else is making shed loads off my hard work I would be offering to make them for members at just over cost! The ones i'd be p!ssed off with would be the people spending pennies to make them then charging the extortionate amount for the end product! Hats off to people like you for coming up with these solutions, I and the rest of us applaud you, but we don't like paying through the nose to someone who is making lots of money in your name but not making you any. So if we can make our own thanks to your ingenuity then you should be happy for us hat we saved ourselves a fair wedge?

Neither re-engineering nor reselling the units on other ways than through Martin Arnet / Tuneconcept has been done without my knowledge and infringes my rights as the developer.  I did not give out the units for free, also the information on my website is clearly declared as copyrighted.

It's just a very bad style what's going on here. Besides the juridical terms associated with this.

If this was common sense, nobody ever would make things that could be copied. Why developing things, if others just may come around stealing the information making money out of it? Then better give a flying f**k on other people and use the good stuff on my own.

Btw. the component prices are around 20 Euros per Unit. Plus about half an hour to build one and this onliy if you build a whole batch at once. If you mean I have to give all that for free, in which world do you live, what job do you work at where this opionion makes no problems?

Don't think it was your website I saw this on. It may well have been copied from your site originally but the info I saw simply had the circuit diagram, no units were being sold and no price was mentioned for anything. The info was published for people to use to make their own. If you take offence at this aim it at the person who stole your work and published it as if it was their own, not the person who read it.
