Saw a guy at a tack day who was bald and had an airbrushed afro pattern on his open faced helmet. Looked great! Like soul glow.

Wasn't painting a helmet considered a no no for safety reasons in the old days, turned them into eggshells or something? Even putting stickers on them was risky apparently, presume things are different now though  Really like the Afro hair idea, should be mandatory for the follicley challenged.

It still is dodgy. Some paints can attack the laminate of the shell making it brittle.

Have your face painted on the back of the helmet, that'd confuse people....

 guessed, it is going to be joker themed, with big green on it, green flames as his hair and then a pair of joker cards on the back with a special date on the cards somewhere

Cellulose based paints would attack the shell on the older cheaper plastic moulded crash helmets, even the glue on stickers were an issue. The lid Joe has is a composite modern construction and the paints used these days are safe; there will be no issues here.
