Thanks for confirming, hate having to ask people to babysit me through whats needed but when you nothing it's part of the course.
weight of resin to csm as a ball park figure. most places seem to say 1.5-2.5 resin to 1 csm.
I shall get it ordered and see how I get on!

Ah, I see now. best guide to go on is how the matting is wetted. Too dry then add more resin etc. best bet is not too much resin as the matting will 'float' and not bond so well, especially on the rad surround. Paint some resin on, lay the matting on and then stipple it until the matting is soft and translucent. If you've resin running out of it its too wet but if it wont soften / wet out properly then you'll need to add some more. have a practice with some small bits on a piece of wood or something scrap, you'll soon get the hang of it.

I've watched afew youtube vids so see how the matting changes as you add the resin to it. I'll have a look for that, allways have time to read at work
Just rodered the repair kit linked, P&P is a killer! but much cheaper than a new surround and next day means I can hopefully get alot done this weekend.
