£1100 included front speakers as well, only tears were standard. DX-R52 cost over £800 on it's own at the time don't forget. I had one in my VXR, not factory fitted so no front speakers. & no I didn't pay £800 for my unit 😇
Ah, mine has front speakers, so that probably explains that then. Not that you can actually ever hear them.

More like tweeters! But they do make a small difference, tried to get them for my VXR but they were discontinued very early onAh, mine has front speakers, so that probably explains that then.
