Hi everyone, just some soul searching questions really.. I owned a vx about 9yrs ago...ended up selling to get a bigger house...always regretted it, never forgotten her. I've owned loads of cars since, but none have come close or made me enjoy driving so much I'm coming into some money over the next few months and I want to buy a keeper. I've got a Vectra VXR, RX8, MX5 and Freelander and I think the RX8 is going to be going...or becoming a track car. So my question is in my early forties, how many years will I get out of the VX before I can't get in and out....My wife is convinced that the car was right at that period in our lifes, but now with a daughter and a bit more man luggage , I don't want to be the old man struggling to get in and out. Any older owners give me some postive news to cheer me up?? Mike

I bought my vx off a 70 year old (who was selling because he couldn't get in it any more, but that's beside the point  ). He took me out for a test drive and started changing his mind about selling though, I had to really push for it afterwards

He might of been 70 but you can't fault his sale technique

Jesus christ - that's 34,500 miles a year even if you account for 6 weeks holiday per year.

I could do that in a Focus / Golf / A4, but that would even be too much for me.
