Bringing this one back from the dead for a moment, not to get in on any group buy, but to see if after a few months people have gathered any defintive data on injectors etc.

Basically my car will use a B207 with ported head, 4-1 mani and 2.5inch exhaust system with decat, plus an M62 charger. I'm hoping for a solid and sensible 280bhp from the car using a standalone ECU.

Reading the previous replies in the thread is a bit confusing, but am I right in thinking that VXR injectors (blue) will be fine at this power? We're basically taking this car completely apart, and starting again so I'd like to do it once and forget about it all. FYI the car will be getting a new fuel pump, likely standard size for that power, to ensure it's working properly as we have to drop the current tank and replace anyway.

Cheers,

G

is that 280bhp at the hubs, or does this include supercharger pulley losses , also what fuel rail pressure?

Nah, 280bhp at the fly - think somewhere between a current stage 2 and stage 3 supercharged car.

No idea of fuel rail pressure, what are the options?

Thought we'd already discussed that Lee?

How's my charger btw?

And any ideas as to how suitable the VXR injectors will be?

How much rpm do you want to run with the B207?

At high rpm the injection window becomes very small, so you need bigger injectors to keep the duty cycle sensible...

As above, Jimmy was running similar power and Dutch Peter recommended moving up from VXR to the bigger Siemens as he was above 80% duty cycle. If you'll track it a lot worth doing now to be sure. Think it was about £150 odd new from USA for a set. On the other hand you could just go with VXR injectors and see how you get on and change if needed. They're a straight swap and a recalibrate of the ECU would be needed, but easy enough done with OBT Tuner and I'd assume any aftermarket ECU.
