Couldn't see a thread on moto GP on .org but I've just watched the first race and it's a blinder so thought I better start one! If you missed the race, have a watch on iPlayer. Just one thing from me... Go Rossi !!! I was on the edge of my seat for the last half of the race and was (nearly) shouting at the screen. Crutchlow rode well too, he just needs some factory updates to give him a chance against the Honda's.

There's a thread over in Off Topic but yeah, what a race. Rossi is incredible - and the sport is so much better for having him competitive again

i never liked the yellow 46 on the red duke, so i'm pleased he's back with Yamaha. Could have been interesting to see what he could have done on a Honda, but its going to be a great season :D

Yeah, much more exciting viewing than the crock-o-sh*t political bollox that is F1 these days :P

It would have been nice to see The Doctor and The Duke succeed but it wasn't to be. A great ride by Rossi.

Glad I watched it - I managed to miss all of last years races. If they could somehow blend the excitement of the MotoGP racing, with the engineering & 'sciency' bits of F1 it would be perfect :D

I watched it live and found it boring. Plenty of respect for the riders and the size of their balls but bikes just do chuff all for me. A third of the coverage seemed to consist of a camera staring at the arse of one or other of the riders.

i didn't watch any of last years races as it was so disappointing to see Rossi struggle so much.

Well you missed a great season. :beat:

Will be interesting seeing how Dovi goes on the Ducati.

End season prediction:

Lorenzo
Pedrosa
Marquez
Rossi
Crutchlow

Would be good to see Rossi do it, but Lorenzo is good.... we'll see how it pans out.

Will be interesting If Marquez or Rossi can keep with Lorenzo, both riders thrive on CLOSE racing. Maybe we will see Lorenzo throwing his toys out the pram.

Great race, personally i enjoyed every moment but must agree that i'm not too fond of the rear camera view looking up at the rider, very uninteresting, what information or entertainment do they think we are going to gain by it? I stumbled upon the race coverage just as it began as i was flicking through the stations and thanked my lucky stars but does anyone know the time and date of the next race please? Best regards and wishes... ..icey :grouphug:

Good afternoon badgerade.

Thank you very much for your quick and informative reply.

I've no idea how this 'red button' thing works (i'm old and stupid, which is not a good combination at the best of times lol). I've got no sky television available to me but do have a free-view box. I'll have a look at the link and see if there's anything i can see on my rather limited viewing options. [Edit add]...oh! and as there is no broadband coverage where i am, i am using a dongle to access the internet and it's 'fair use policy' has such a restrictive use of download and upload that watching television via my laptop is impossible.[/Edit add]

Have a nice weekend (terrible weather here).

Best regards and wishes...

..icey

No problem You should be able to access the 'red button' on BBC via freeview. It's only quali and Moto2/3 races that are on there though - the MotoGP is on BBC 3 which should be available as a channel on your freeview box. thumbsup
