Lol! I'm not going to buy it. I am just interested in the concept of putting a high powered bike engine in a light weight car.

I remember reading about these when the guy was just working on the CAD drawings for the chassis. How about the D1? Can't see the point at that price just get a radical or something.

D1 Engine: Custom 3,000cc V8, 430hp @10,000 RPM, 260 lb-ft @6500 RPM

A V8 running at 10,000 RPM :D

impressive and low weight, not sure why it needs 4wd but i presume its down to the odd engine layout

Probaly to get the power onto the Tarmac quickly. Looks like a custom hayabusa v8 engine (2 engines joined at the crank)

Hartley H1V8. Sorted (though you don't want to know the price) and no need to mess with imitation versions.

The RPE is the Powertec (Radical) engine I believe not the Hartly, there have been a few v8 bike derived projects over the years.

With such a low centre of gravity it must have nice handling. Wonder what the pressure wave is like where the intake exits? Fit nicely into a VX don't you think :) Yeah, your right it's not the Hartly, here's some more info http://en.wikipedia....ki/Powertec_RPA
