Cheers, it's not just the lense though the whole light is mashed. Gives me a chance to get a bigger wing haha.

I don't know, I've had the car 2 years and it was sold to me with them being elise parts toe links. So I can't even really confirm they are theirs other than that advert.

Who says you can't remove the rear clam on your own?

Got the exhaust off.

Measured up the window slot to order some polycarbonate.
Anyone know how much the exhaust u bend to backbone clamps are?

I've just ordered a new clamp for the backbox to u-bend (tubby exhaust) from here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181188894323

Looks very much like the one that came off...

Cheers ill get one of those ordered. Those and the 3 at the other end of the ubend have been on less than a year yet they all sheered when they undid.

Noticed that the new OEM timing chain I put on a year ago has the rustiest tensioner in the world already. Bearing in mind the car barely gets used!

Exhaust thing turned up. Not got the back box back yet but do have the toe link spacer so I can get the toe links refitted. I think the sheet of polycarbonate I ordered is at the post office so will collect tomorrow. Went through a few more videos. I imagine the C63 driver was just giggling as he played with me on the straights. Followed this clio around for a bit. He seemed to like leaving tyre lines everywhere. I had a decent bit of sideways onto the main straight. Waited for Hicky to catch me up then chased him down. Going by his nitrons and the TMS cc in the front I'm guessing he wasn't standard.

From talking to him on a couple of TDs at Croft I believe it's a stage 4 Thorney turbo around 280bhp. You were going well before the incident.

I may have dribbled a bit but it's getting there. I find fibreglassing very therapeutic. It was made much more difficult by the odd layers of filler already there.

Need more resin now.

I was almost all done by hand and eye. I reckon if I stuck it in the sand blaster here then a fresh coat of matt you wouldn't really notice.

Tried putting it under the 4 post ramp and lowering it to flatten it. Didn't work very well haha.

I got those fins pretty straight.

Finished the fibreglassing on the main section. Bit to do on other areas still.

If it is structurally sound, then just get the clam back on. 'Battle Patina' is the new black.

Old rear screen cut out. Left my Stanley at work so only had a blade to work with. It hurts.

New screen cut to shape and a black boarder sprayed round the inside. Will bond it in once my mate has popped round for a cuppa.
