I see, what's the consequences? bump steer? (Just trying to understand it more)

Aimy - taking my car for example, if I wound the preload up even more to achieve a 110/120 ride I'd have very little travel left - ie when the car is in roll round a hard corner the wheel doesn't have chance to move down very far before the damper tops out. That means that on that hard corner it might lift the inner wheel enough to lose traction and having no LSD i'd lose drive all together - and possibly spin.

 

With the car low like it is, there is the iritation of bumpsteer but also the geometry is working outside the optimum area which - im guessing now - means the likes of camber wont change at the correct rate as suspension compresses etc.

 

I doubt we mere mortals would notice the later too much.
