That is how you get a rolled VX back on the road and make some money out of it, if someone actually buys it!

I wonder what goes on in peoples heads sometimes.

I suspect the answer in this case is "not much".

I think it's awful.

I probably go against the grain here but then again I do put the Audi tfsi engine into the VX220 already lol. I think its GREAT!!!!!!!!

IMO there are a few details to get as I would want in terms of rear subframe / hub alignent and convert to lighter hub / wheel combo to do the 2-11 justice. And of course a fruity lump in there ;)

Moving to some proper seats and decent wheel setup would really complete the look of the car.............it needs more than stock power

As a 95% road car it could be interesting :P

I think it'd be cool if it was a VX220 but without the windscreen, so 211 inspired but of a VX220...

I thought about that option and have mixed views on how well it would turn out, be it a 340R style keep windscreen or not.

Hard to justify the cut out full oem nothing wrong clams vs an oem 2-11 jacket. Think the VX211 version would still be heavier than the 2-11 body (could be wrong)

Can't wait for your project to complete Duncan. I feel privileged to have seen the first stage of your project yesterday and I played a part helping drain down the brake fluid - it can only be good. thumbsup. Do I get first offer for passenger drive once it's ready?

It was a very important role you played ;)

I fear the project is a longer term one while the pennies build very slowly but gives me time to get everything in perfect condition from tub up along with a few in house ideas :)

A trip out in Steve's or Duncan's TFSI coverted beasties will give you a taste of what I am aiming for but just going to be lighter and faster and lot less pratical :D

I will also be using the 5 pot TT RS lump or the 6 pot S/C tfsi - suspect the 1st as I know it fits without any issues :D and 450bhp will be more than is ever needed regardless of engine configuration

Sure the lack or fly protection to face will make me wonder why I never kept the screen on a euro drive (rain could be interesting lol)

In theory its all Lotus have done but its the execution thats not there. I've seen the blue one. Its not good. Ride height and wheels offsets are all wrong as well. Its the kind of thing that an enthusiast could easily do with a bit of diligence tracing the correct parts down.
